Templeton Strout Cask Finish is a limited-release rye whiskey. It is aged for at least six years in oak barrels that were used for aging Templeton Rye for 2-4 years, then finished in Kentucky and Indiana bourbon casks before it is bottled at a stronger 90 proof. The bourbon casks bring out the rye s flavor, creating complex flavors of spice, toasted nuts and fruits, and a hint of smokiness. The cask finish results in a smooth and creamy rye whiskey with a long, spicy finish.
